Evolutionary Astrology

Evolutionary Astrology (EA) is a method of chart interpretation developed by Jeffrey Wolf Green. It approaches the birth chart as a tool for understanding deeper patterns of growth, change, and self-development over time.

At its core, EA views the chart as a reflection of the psyche and the underlying themes that shape a person’s life experience. Rather than focusing on prediction, it looks at how past patterns, present circumstances, and future possibilities are interconnected.

In EA, particular attention is given to Pluto, the Lunar Nodes, and their rulers, which are used to explore major developmental themes and areas of transformation. Other planets, such as Neptune, Uranus, and Chiron, can offer insight into sensitivity, disruption, and healing processes.

A key principle of EA is that no placement is inherently “good” or “bad.” Each part of the chart carries meaning and potential, depending on how it is lived and expressed.

In my work, I use Evolutionary Astrology as a reflective framework rather than a fixed system of answers. The chart is not something that defines you or determines your future, but something you are in relationship with. It can help bring awareness to patterns, support self-understanding, and open up new ways of seeing your experience.

Some people understand this work in terms of soul growth or a larger life journey, while others relate to it more psychologically. Both perspectives are welcome.
